Privacy Policy for Fitly
Effective Date: 03/24/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Fitly collects, uses, stores, and shares data when you use our Chrome extension and related web experiences (including demo, upload, pricing, and shared look pages).
1. Data We Collect
Depending on how you use Fitly, we may collect the following categories of data:
- Account information (such as name, email, and UID) when you sign in with Google/Firebase Auth.
- User-provided images, including photos you upload and garment/product images used for virtual try-on.
- Generated try-on outputs and related metadata (for example task ID, provider, timestamps, and storage paths/URLs).
- Body-fit inputs and outputs, such as height, gender, and estimated measurements that you submit or edit.
- Product image URLs and page URLs needed to support extension features (for example right-click image try-on flows).
- Billing/subscription metadata (such as customer and plan status) when you use paid features.
- Email address submitted on demo or waitlist flows, and support/report messages you send us.
- Technical and operational logs (for reliability, error handling, and abuse prevention).
2. How We Use Data
We use data to operate and improve Fitly, including to:
- Authenticate users and maintain account state.
- Generate virtual try-ons and return results.
- Estimate body measurements from user-provided inputs/photos when requested.
- Save your selected images, preferences, and try-on history.
- Enable sharing and resolving shared look links.
- Process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, and provide billing/account support.
- Send transactional/demo/waitlist messages that you request.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and keep services secure.
3. Service Providers and Sharing
We use trusted third-party infrastructure/providers to deliver Fitly features. These may process data only as needed to provide their services:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions).
- Google Cloud services used for try-on and measurement-related processing.
- BitStudio APIs for certain legacy/compatible try-on flows.
- Stripe for payment processing, subscriptions, and customer billing portal features.
- Email delivery providers used for demo, support, and operational messages.
We do not sell personal data. We also do not use third-party ad tracking networks in the core product experience.
4. Data Storage and Retention
- We store account, try-on, measurement, and related app data in Firebase services.
- Data may also be cached locally in your browser/extension storage to improve performance and continuity.
- Some unsaved generated looks may be automatically removed after a retention window (currently around 30 days).
- Shared look records may become unavailable if underlying assets are deleted.
- When you remove items (or sign out), local and/or cloud copies may be deleted as part of normal cleanup flows.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including secure transport and managed cloud infrastructure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
